These fruits and vegetables should be stored in the refrigerator: 

  • Apples
  • Blueberries
  • Cantaloupe (cut)
  • Cherries
  • Grapefruit
  • Grapes
  • Honeydew
  • Kiwifruit
  • Lemon
  • Lime
  • Orange
  • Pineapple
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Tangerine
  • Watermelon (cut)

Ripen on the countertop, then refrigerate:

  • Avocado
  • Banana
  • Cantaloupe (whole)
  • Mango
  • Peach

Store in a cool, dark place:

  • Onions
  • Potato
  • Sweet Potato
  • Winter Squash
